Ichiwa Technology (Changshu) Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Western Japan Trading in Changshu, Jiangsu province, in January 2019. Our main business is the installation, adjustment, and repair of labor-saving automation equipment and machine tools. We are engaged in efforts catering to a wide range of industries including automobiles, home appliances, health and medical care, and food products.

Industry in China is developing at a dizzying pace, and we believe that labor-saving automation is a common theme for further improving productivity at production sites in the future.

Our parent company, Western Japan Trading, exports and sells Japanese-manufactured machine tools and various other tools to China. We disassemble machine products into their unit parts, clean and reassemble them, and return them to their original state of performance when new.

When Japanese-manufactured machine tools are exported to China, it is necessary to install and adjust the equipment locally.

In the past, engineers dispatched by manufacturers would go to the site and stay for several weeks or even months to conduct installation adjustment and test operation. However, it presented difficult issues for each manufacturer to consider, such as the long periods of stay and the fact that engineers were unable to perform work in Japan during the business trip period.

In recent years, overseas business trips have become difficult due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and there have been cases where products have been shipped but installation adjustments could not be made.

Ichiwa Technology (Changshu) Co., Ltd., a China-based subsidiary of Western Japan Trading, performs local installation adjustments and test operation (SV) on behalf of manufacturers.

Between 2020 and 2021, Ichiwa Technology performed 80 SVs with a 100% completion rate.

Japanese machine tool installation and adjustment

Machine tools require peripheral ancillary equipment aside from the machining section.

For example, in the case of grinding machines, there are grinding fluid tanks, cooling systems, filtration systems, and mist collectors, etc.

While the machine tool itself is original to the manufacturer, ancillary equipment is generally purchased from specialized manufacturers, and there are many cases where peripheral ancillary equipment is included in the export process.

In terms of overseas-manufactured machine tools, especially in the Chinese market, the performance of machine tools manufactured in China is improving year by year, and it is inevitable that the cost of Japanese machine tools will have to be reduced further.

Ichiwa Technology (Changshu) Co., Ltd. manufactures and assembles machinery in-house, including a selection of highly reliable Chinese-made ancillary equipment. It is also inexpensive in terms of cost, and since Ichiwa Technology offers a comprehensive service, it is also possible to handle subsequent modifications and respond to failures.

When exporting equipment, only the main unit is exported from Japan. This enables transportation costs to be reduced, offering a double cost advantage.
